Consumer Goods & Fashion Executive | Board Chair
Main Responsibilities :
- Prepare costing specs for the sourcing department.
- Maintain sample tracking log for fittings daily.
- Prepare size and fit specification sheets based on order requirements.
- Measure, comment, and compare garment samples to technical files created by the design team.
- Prepare and submit samples to customers for approval.
- Ensure quality standards meet customer requirements, including wash tests in our laundry room, and generate reports.
- Measure samples for size and production against size specification sheets to ensure desired size is achieved.
- Make corrections to specifications and details to achieve desired fit and appearance.
- Communicate changes, fit problems, or corrections clearly to the manufacturer.
- Prepare spreadsheet calculations for garment grading.
- Prepare paper patterns as needed.
Qualifications :
- College Fashion school degree in fashion design or equivalent.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position.
- Thorough knowledge of industry-standard garment construction techniques.
- Knowledge of the production cycle and its impact on design.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and precision.
- Experience interpreting market trends to meet current fashion and fit styles.
- Proven initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Good time management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
- English proficiency required for communication with outside suppliers.
