Nokia is seeking an Early Career Firmware Engineer to join an agile Scrum team developing software for next‑generation optical network equipment. You’ll write firmware for embedded CPUs on Nokia ASICs and help monitor and control advanced optical hardware.

The role emphasizes collaboration, feature acceptance criteria, and unit testing within a fast-paced development cycle, with opportunities to grow in DSP, control theory, and embedded systems areas.

Competenze

• Bachelor's in Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with C/C++ and Python.
• Experience in DSP, Control Theory, Optical networks, embedded CPUs.
• Agile development, including feature acceptance criteria and unit testing.

As an Early Career Firmware Engineer, you’ll be part of an agile Scrum team developing software that controls and monitors next‑generation optical network equipment. You’ll be writing firmware that runs on highly embedded CPUs within custom Nokia ASICs, directly enabling industry‑leading optical hardware.

• Bachelor's in Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Experienced with C and C+,+ and Python.
• One or more areas of experience: Digital signal processing knowledge, Control Theory, Optical networks, Optical components, embedded cpu.
• Agile development, including defining feature acceptance criteria, feature and unit testing.
• Previous intern or co-op experience is an asset.
