Job summary

Stantec is seeking a seasoned fire protection professional to join our Buildings team in Quebec. You will design and implement fire protection systems for projects across Quebec and beyond, collaborating with engineers, technicians, and clients to deliver innovative, compliant solutions.

With seven years in fire protection, you will leverage NFPA knowledge and HydraCalc expertise to analyze hydraulic systems and support project success.

Qualifications

• College diploma in mechanical engineering or related training.
• 7 years of experience in fire protection.
• Knowledge of NFPA standards.
• Knowledge of HydraCalc software.
• Ability to perform and interpret hydraulic calculations.
• Good understanding of fire safety engineering principles.
• ASP construction card (an asset).
• English language skills are an asset to facilitate collaboration with internal teams outside Quebec or with clients.

Responsibilities

• Design and participate in the implementation of fire protection projects in Quebec and across Canada.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative fire protection solutions.
• Contribute to project design and analysis to ensure compliance with NFPA standards and client requirements.
