Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team in Canada is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to join our Quebec offices. You will participate in the design and implementation of fire protection systems across institutional, industrial, and commercial settings for local and international clients.

The ideal candidate has a college diploma in mechanical engineering, 7 years of experience in fire protection, knowledge of NFPA standards, HydraCalc software, hydraulic calculations, and strong analytical skills.

• College diploma in mechanical engineering or other relevant training.
• 7 years of experience in fire protection.
• Knowledge of NFPA standards.
• Knowledge of HydraCalc software.
• Ability to perform and interpret hydraulic calculations.
• Good understanding of fire safety engineering principles.
• ASP construction card (an asset).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
• Knowledge of English is an asset to facilitate collaboration with teams outside Quebec or with clients.

You will be a key player in our great team and will participate in the design and implementation of various projects throughout Quebec, across the country, and even overseas, in institutional, industrial, and commercial settings for local and/or international clients. Your background
