Stantec’s Buildings team invites you to apply for a role that focuses on fire protection and hydraulic design across Quebec with opportunities in a national and international context.

You will be part of a collaborative environment, designing and implementing projects in institutional, industrial, and commercial sectors for local and international clients, based in our Longueuil, Montreal, Quebec City, or Laval offices.

Qualifications

Diploma in mechanical engineering or related training.
7 years of fire protection experience.
Knowledge of NFPA standards.
Knowledge of HydraCalc software.
Ability to perform hydraulic calculations.
Strong understanding of fire safety engineering principles.
ASP construction card is an asset.
English is an asset for collaboration outside Quebec.

Responsibilities

Participate in the design and implementation of projects in institutional, industrial, and commercial settings across Quebec and beyond.
Contribute to the design team to develop innovative fire protection solutions.
Collaborate with internal teams to deliver high-quality building solutions.

Your opportunity

Make a difference by joining our team of fire protection and building mechanics experts at our offices in Longueuil, Montreal, Quebec City, or Laval. You will be a key player in our great team and will participate in the design and implementation of various projects throughout Quebec, across the country, and even overseas, in institutional, industrial, and commercial settings for local and/or international clients. Major building projects are on the rise in Quebec. We work in a professional and collaborative environment where we do everything we can to come up with innovative solutions to complex problems. Your background

College diploma in mechanical engineering or other relevant training;
7 years of experience in fire protection;
Knowledge of NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) standards;
Knowledge of HydraCalc software;
Ability to perform and interpret hydraulic calculations;
Good understanding of fire safety engineering principles;
ASP construction card (an asset);
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills;
Knowledge of English is an asset in order to facilitate collaboration with our internal teams outside Quebec or with clients.
