Blackline Civil Inc. is seeking an experienced Finish Grader Operator to join our civil construction team in Alberta. The role focuses on fine grading for municipal, commercial, and roadway projects, ensuring accurate grades with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of finish grader operating experience on civil projects.
• GPS grading systems experience is an asset.
• Strong grasp of grading tolerances and site preparation.
• Ability to work independently and stay productive.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license required.
• CSTS, Ground Disturbance, and safety certifications are assets.
• Reliable transportation to Edmonton area sites.

• Read and interpret grade stakes, elevations, blueprints, and site plans.
• Utilize laser and GPS machine control systems.
• Coordinate with supervisors, surveyors, and ground crews.
• Conduct daily pre-trip inspections and routine equipment maintenance.
• Identify and report equipment issues or safety concerns.
• Assist with additional construction duties as required.

About the Role

We are currently hiring an experienced Finish Grader Operator to join our growing civil construction team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in fine grading for municipal, commercial, and roadway projects and be capable of producing accurate grades with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate finish graders for fine grading and final shaping
• Perform grading work on roads, parking lots, subdivisions, and underground utility projects
• Read and interpret grade stakes, elevations, blueprints, and site plans
• Utilize laser and GPS machine control systems
• Coordinate with supervisors, surveyors, and ground crews
• Conduct daily pre-trip inspections and routine equipment maintenance
• Identify and report equipment issues or safety concerns
  
• Assist with additional construction duties as required
