Job summary

Aecon Group Inc. in Calgary, Alberta is seeking a Finish Grader Operator for the 2026 season. You will safely operate a motor grader, perform fine grade finishing, and lay/mix materials per grade specifications.

Flexibility for overtime, night shifts, and weekends is required to meet project timelines. Knowledge of TopCon/Trimble GPS is an asset; a valid Class 5 licence and own vehicle are required. This role supports major transportation projects and offers comprehensive benefits and

Qualifications

• Knowledge of grade/sight lines and plans.
• Must maintain a valid Class 5 licence.
• Willing to work OT, nights and weekends as required.
• Compliance with drug & alcohol program.
• Own vehicle to access jobsite.
• Experience with GPS-enabled grading is an asset.

What Is The Opportunity?

Calgary Construction Operations is hiring Finish Grader Operators to support our Base Crew in Calgary, Alberta for the 2026 season.

What You’ll Do Here:

• Responsible for safely operating a motor grader.
• Performs fine grade finishing.
• Laying and mixing materials to grade specifications.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring to the Team:

• Knowledge with TopCon/Trimble GPS considered an asset.
• Must be able to understand grades and have knowledge of plans, drawings and overall road construction.
• Maintains a valid Class 5 driver’s license.
• Own vehicle to get to and from jobsite.
• Willing to work overtime, nightshifts and weekends, as required.
• Must comply with the company's drug & alcohol program, including testing requirement.

Pay and Benefits:

Pay Range: $38 - $44 per hour

Individual pay isdeterminedbased on several factors, including work location, education, experience, uniqueskillsand job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
