Job summary

Aecon Concessions in Calgary, Alberta is hiring Asphalt Paving Labourers for the 2026 construction season. You will support our paving division with manual tasks, operate with safety in all weather, and contribute to transportation projects.

Candidates should have good physical strength, the ability to work supervised or unsupervised, a valid Class 5 driver's license, and willingness to work weekends or night shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have good manual skills and strength to perform labourer duties.
• Must possess ability to work supervised and unsupervised and have strong communication skills.
• Must be able to reach, pull, carry, grab, lift in all weather.
• Must maintain a valid Class 5 Drivers License.
• Ability to work weekends and/or night shift; willing to work overtime.

Position Title: Asphalt Paving Labourer

What Is The Opportunity?

We are hiring Asphalt Paving Labourers to support our Paving division in Calgary, Alberta for the 2026 Construction Season.

What You Bring to the Team:

• Must have good manual skills and strength required to perform all laborer type duties.
• Must possess ability to work both supervised and unsupervised and have strong communication skills.
• Continually required to reach, pull, carry, grab, pull, and lift.
• Must possess both good strength and good endurance as work performed in all types of weather conditions.
• Must Maintain a valid Class 5 Drivers License.
• Ability to work weekends and/or night shift.
• Willing to work overtime, as required.
• Must comply with the company's drug & alcohol program, including testing requirement.

Pay and Benefits:

Pay Range: $24 - $38 per hour

Individual pay isdeterminedbased on several factors, including work location, education, experience, uniqueskillsand job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
