• Knowledge of plans and drawings for road construction.
• Maintains a valid Class 5 driver’s license.

Position Overview

For the 2025 Road Construction Season we are hiring a Finish Grader Operator to support our Base Crew in Calgary, Alberta.A Finish Grader Operator is responsible for operating a motor grader to create precise and smooth surfaces on construction sites.

What You’ll Do Here:

• Responsible for safely operating the self-propelled motor grader.
• Performs rough or fine grade finishing.
• Laying and mixing materials to grade specifications.
• Lay cold mix if required.
• Take out old road if required.
• Lead ground crew to build the road the surface of the exact grading blueprint.

What You Bring to the Team:

• Familiar with Trimble 2D slope control and balance grading.
• Performs either rough grade or fine grade finishing, spreading and mixing materials on roadway.
• Must be able to understand grades and have knowledge of plans, drawings and overall road construction.
• Maintains a valid Class 5 driver’s license or better.
• Own vehicle to get to and from jobsite.
• Willing to work out of town and in remote locations, as required.
• Willing to work overtime, as required.
• Must comply with the company's drug & alcohol program, including testing requirement.
• Other duties as assigned.
