Job summary

Sureway Construction Group Ltd. is seeking Finish Excavator & Dozer Operators for seasonal, full-time work in Sturgeon County, NE of Edmonton. The role requires operating Dozer/Excavator for finishing tasks such as sloping and leveling, while maintaining safety and adhering to company programs.

Applicants should have 3–5 years of Dozer/Excavator experience and proven ability to perform finishing work. A reliable vehicle and CSA-approved boots are required, with pre-employment testing and site

Qualifications

• Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience as a Dozer/ Excavator operator.
• Experience with finishing work (sloping, leveling) required.

Responsibilities

• Safe operation of Dozer/ Excavator as it pertains to stripping, ditching, sloping, leveling
• Operate Dozer/Excavator in close proximity to ground personnel and other equipment
• Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.

Finish Excavator & Dozer Operators

Sureway Construction is one of Alberta’s largest heavy construction contractors, involved in; civil earthworks and grading, utilities and offsite, mine operation and aggregate extraction.

Job Type: Full Time, Seasonal

Schedule: 10+ hours per day, 6 & 1, OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week

Location: Sturgeon County, North East of Edmonton. No direct access to public transportation.

Essential: Hard-working, reliable, flexible with schedule, ability to work in physically demanding conditions

Requirements:

• Personal Reliable Vehicle
• CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support

Pre-employment:

• Drug and alcohol testing (swab-based test)
• Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation

Finish Dozer/ Excavator Operator Responsibilities:
