Job summary

Inspire Homes is seeking a carpenter apprentice to assist with exterior and interior construction across projects in the Greater Toronto Area. You will support carpenters with material handling, rough and finished carpentry, insulation, and site cleanup.

Hours vary with workload; full-time hours are aimed for but not guaranteed. Some college education in construction or related on-site experience is beneficial, and basic safety equipment and tools are required.

Qualifications

• Completion of college education in construction or one year work experience in construction environment if beneficial, but not required.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• A reliable motor vehicle is highly recommended for project locations across the GTA.

Position Description:

Assist carpenters with both exterior and interior construction, including moving materials and equipment, assisting with cutting, joining and installation of materials, and jobsite cleanup.

Duties may include:

• Concrete mixing and pouring
• Job site cleanup

Work Hours:

Hours will depend on company workload, jobsite requirements, and attitude and skill level of the carpenter apprentice. We endeavour to provide full-time hours but cannot guarantee them.

Education/Experience:

Completion of college education in construction or one year work experience in construction environment if beneficial, but not required. Some on-the-job training will be provided.

Transportation:

Projects are located throughout the Greater Toronto Area, often in areas with limited public transit access. A reliable motor vehicle is highly recommended.

Must have own safety equipment and basic tools (pouch, hammer, etc.)
