Job summary

RBC in Kelowna, BC is seeking a financing specialist to support a high performing commercial banking team with portfolio management and credit advice. Your focus will be to deliver superior business, financial and credit guidance to clients.

You will partner with the Commercial Account Manager to manage the credit process, provide timely credit solutions, and contribute to exceptional client experiences across a growing commercial portfolio.

Qualifications

• Proven understanding of financial and credit analysis in support of exceptional client relationship management.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks with time-sensitive deadlines.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Familiarity with online data resources, web meetings, social media, digital banking and mobile applications.

• Leverage deepening business analysis to meet client credit requests and complete annual reviews.
• Provide quality business analysis and credit advice through clear presentations of advantages and benefits to the client.
• Demonstrate RBC’s ability to provide creative financial solutions in a timely manner and deliver credit solutions that meet or exceed needs.
• Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration by sharing best practices and assisting colleagues to meet client needs.
• Exercise due diligence in recommending credit applications, collaborating with Credit Adjudicators and risk processes.

What will you do?

• Leverage deepening business analysis skills to meet client expectations for credit requests and completion of annual reviews
• Provide quality business analysis and credit advice through presentation options that clearly articulate advantages and benefits to the client
• Demonstrate RBC’s capability to provide creative financial solutions in a timely manner and deliver credit solutions that meet or exceed needs
• Demonstrate a commitment to teamwork and collaboration by sharing best practices learned and assisting colleagues to meet the needs of all clients
• Exercise due diligence in recommending credit applications, working in collaboration with Credit Adjudicators, especially in supporting risk processes and guidelines

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• Proven understanding of financial and credit analysis in support of exceptional client relationship management
• Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting time sensitive deadlines
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Experience with emerging resources, communications and technology (i.e., online data resources, web based meetings, social media, digital banking, and mobile applications)

Nice-to-have

• Ability to conduct an assessment of risk and financial analysis, credit structuring/solutions and presenting the deal
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Minimum post-secondary diploma/degree, ideally in Commerce, Business Administration or related experience
• Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
