Job summary

PwC Canada seeks a Financial Transformation Senior Associate to lead and shape finance transformation engagements. You will work with PwC teams to sell and deliver tech-enabled finance projects, run workshops with key stakeholders, and guide end-to-end delivery from process assessment to solution implementation.

Ideal candidates bring ERP implementation experience (SAP/Workday/Oracle), strong Finance knowledge, and a background in consulting or Big 4. MBA/CPA assets are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in Finance Transformation projects and ERP implementations.
• Strong understanding of Finance processes and SAP/Workday/Oracle integrations.
• Experience with workshops and client-facing delivery in a consulting setting.
• MBA/CPA assets; Big 4 background highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Sell and deliver technology-enabled Finance Consulting projects for clients.
• Prepare and run workshops with Finance stakeholders to define roadmaps.
• Deliver Finance Transformation engagements and manage project economics.
• Implement Finance technology tools (SAP, Workday, Microsoft, Oracle).
• Design Finance Vision, Strategy and Target Operating Model.
• Assess and improve Finance processes with technology support.
• Support engagement leadership in planning, budgeting and risk management.

A career in our Finance Transformation practice, within Consulting services, will provide the opportunity to work alongside Finance leaders to optimize the structure of their finance functions, re-architect Finance processes and implement new technology to enable their transformation journey. Join a team of business professionals who work with clients to solve complex problems; utilizing tools to digitally upskill Finance teams. Work with clients to establish and deliver on their transformation roadmap to create value for Finance and beyond. Working in a diverse team, you will help our clients identify process, performance and people opportunities and lead the development of meaningful solutions to deliver sustainable change

The Opportunity

• Work with colleagues across PwC to sell and deliver business-led, technology enabled projects to fulfill client needs for Finance Consulting services
• Participate and support the preparation of workshops with key Finance stakeholders
• Play an active part in the delivery of Finance Transformation engagements, including
• Finance technology tool implementations for Finance Operations ( e.g. SAP, Workday, Microsoft and Oracle)
• Finance Vision & Strategy and Target Operating Model design
• Finance Processes assessment and improvement supported by technology
• Support the engagement manager / director / partner in managing engagement risk and project economics including planning and budgeting
• Prepare deliverable content and ensure the quality of deliverables meets with PwC and client expectations
• Participate in aspects of the proposal development process and contribute to proposal writing

What You’ll Bring

• A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people and perspectives
• Professional Finance experience is an asset ( e.g. Accounting, FP&A, Reporting & Analytics)
• Consulting or audit experience is an asset, especially within the “Big 4” firms
• MBA and/or a CPA designation is an asset
• Experience with ERP implementation initiatives and projects ( e.g. SAP, Workday, Microsoft and Oracle) is an asset
• Working expertise or understanding in many, if not all, of the core Accounting areas:
  • Record-to-Report – financial close, consolidation, financial reporting, Fixed Assets, Inventory, Payroll
  • Order-to-Cash – order entry, customer credit, invoicing, accounts receivable, collections
  • Procure-to-Pay – procurement, accounts payable
• Experience in process improvement or re-engineering initiatives and projects in the core back office accounting areas (see above) in either a consultant or internal role.
