Overview

The Finance Transformation Manager is a mid‑level management role within PwC's finance consulting practice. You will specialise in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations for clients. Your work includes assessing financial processes, designing and implementing solutions, and providing guidance on financial systems implementation, process automation and shared services.

Responsibilities

• Work with colleagues across PwC to sell and deliver business‑led, technology‑enabled projects to fulfill client needs for Finance Transformation consulting services.
• Lead the preparation of workshops with key Finance leaders and stakeholders.
• Play an active part in the delivery of Finance Transformation engagements, including Finance ERP implementations (e.g. SAP, Workday, Microsoft and Oracle) and delivering transformation initiatives and strategies.
• Lead the design of Finance vision and Target Operating Model (org structures, service delivery models, shared services designs and builds).
• Assess and improve Finance processes (re‑engineering). Select finance vendor and technology software.
• Accelerate engagements using AI and enable Finance capabilities.
• Support the engagement director/partner in managing engagement risk and project economics: planning, budgeting, monitoring, and reporting.
• Lead the preparation of deliverable content and ensure its quality meets PwC and client expectations.
• Lead proposal development, market initiatives, and practice development (thought leadership, knowledge management, training).
• Participate in business development and market activities.
• Develop thought‑leadership and point‑of‑view materials on Finance Transformation.
• Coach junior team members and support them through collaboration, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
• Participate in learning and development and capability building activities within the FT practice.
• Improve and evolve ways of working, delivery approaches, and tools when required.
• Identify market gaps and opportunities to develop new value propositions within Finance Transformation.
• Seek opportunities to scale delivery efficiencies and enable new ways of working through process and technology innovation.

Qualifications

• Professional Finance experience (Accounting, FP&A, Reporting & Analytics) an asset.
• 4‑7 years of consulting or audit experience, especially within a Big4 firm.
• Relevant MBA and/or CPA designation an asset.
• Experience with ERP implementation initiatives and projects (SAP, Workday, Microsoft, Oracle).
• Expertise in finance strategy and operating model design, including target operating models, road‑maps, and business cases.
• Demonstrated project management and team leadership skills in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments.
• Knowledge and experience in AI for Finance an asset.
• Working expertise or understanding in core Accounting areas: Record‑to‑Report, Order‑to‑Cash, Procure‑to‑Pay, Treasury.
• Experience in process improvement or re‑engineering initiatives in core back‑office accounting areas.
• Strong communication, analytical, and client‑service skills.
• Ability to learn new tools, adapt to technology trends and work in a diverse environment.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $112,400 - $162,400 (depending on location). Eligible for variable incentive pay programs. Base salary determined by skills, experience, and location. Includes competitive benefits, inclusive benefits and flexibility programs.
