Job summary

First Nations Finance Authority (FNFA) in West Kelowna, BC, seeks a Business Analyst to drive requirements for FNFA’s new Financial Management System. The role collaborates with IT, Member Services and Finance to gather and document business needs, translate them into user stories, and support data migration and testing.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in software business analysis, with Agile, Azure DevOps, SQL, and MS 365 experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.

Responsibilities

Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, reporting, and non-functional requirements for the Financial Management software.
Lead requirements sessions with IT, Member Services, Finance and other stakeholders.
Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and Azure DevOps work items.
Support data migration, validation, and testing activities.
Document integration requirements and manage traceability from inception to deployment.
Identify gaps, risks, and change impacts early and facilitate prioritization decisions.
Prepare updates on requirements progress, risks, and deployment readiness.
