The Serpent River First Nation seeks a Financial Specialist/Strategic Development to review, modernize and implement Finance Department processes with a focus on financial management, automation and capacity building.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will develop work plans and coordinate initiatives based on identified needs, collaborating with multiple departments and consultants to implement improvements.
The Financial Specialist/Strategic Development position supports the review, analysis, modernization and implementation of Finance Department processes. The position focuses on financial management, strategic development, automation, workflow improvement, capacity building and integrated service delivery.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Financial Specialist/Strategic Development develops work plans and coordinates approved initiatives based on identified Serpent River First Nation financial-management needs. The position collaborates with Finance Department staff, the Director of Operations, consultants, contractors and representatives from other departments to implement sustainable process improvements, develop policies and procedures, strengthen financial controls and deliver training.
The Financial Specialist/Strategic Development acts as a conduit between Finance and other Serpent River First Nation departments during financial-process changes. The position promotes an integrated and inclusive service-delivery system that considers all programs and services available to the Serpent River First Nation.
