The Financial Services Administrator carries out the accounts payable function, provides backup for accounts receivable and donation functions, and supports the audit, financial budgeting, reporting and financial management of SRCHC. This position further supports and is involved in confidential Human Resources functions related to employee life cycle situations. This position is expected to work onsite.
Undergraduate degree in Human Resources Management, or related field of study
Minimum 5 years’ working experience in the field of Human Resources, including benefit and retirement plan administration
CHRP/CHRL designation or working towards
Experience working in a unionized environment preferred
Strong understanding of Human Resources best practices and employment legislation, with the ability to effectively apply them in the workplace
Understanding of labour relations and the application of collective agreements
Proficiency in the use of computer technology and various software applications
Professional tact and diplomacy with the ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality
Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
Friendly, welcoming, customer service mindset
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop reports and present findings
Sound judgement and problem-solving skills
Ability to be flexible and possess initiative
Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
Respect for diversity, equity, anti‑racism and accessibility with the ability to work collaboratively and positively with others
