Job summary

National Bank of Canada is seeking a Financial Services Representative in Investments to support Financial Planners and assist clients with investment transactions. You will help optimize administrative processes and contribute to business development by identifying opportunities for clients and referring them to the right specialists.

You will work in a collaborative team, with training and hands-on learning.

Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma with 3 years of relevant experience or college diploma with 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Must hold Mutual Fund Representative (MFR) license or obtain certification within 3 months of hire.
  • Experience in customer service and interest in business development.
  • Basic investment knowledge and experience with investment processing.

Responsibilities

Job description

A career as Financial Services Representative in Investments at National Bank is an opportunity to create a positive impact for our clients. In this role, you’ll support Financial Planners in all their administrative investment activities, while participating in business development activities with clients.

Your job:
  • Optimize interactions with clients on the technical, administrative and operational aspects of their investment transactions.
  • Use an advisory approach by detecting opportunities and referring clients to the right specialist.
  • Propose transaction and investment solutions when analyzing client files, if required.
  • Support Financial Planners in data analysis and solving complex files to satisfy clients.
  • Ensure compliance with the processes used and the implementation of new features.
  • Ensure adherence to compliance and risk management rules.
Your team:

Prerequisites:
  • High school diploma and 3 years of relevant experience or college diploma and 1 year of relevant experience
  • Mutual Fund Representative (MFR) license (or obtain certification within 3 months of hiring)
  • Experience in customer service and interest in business development
  • Basic investment knowledge
  • Experience in administrative support and in processing investment, financing and transaction products
  • Proficient with IT tools and comfortable navigating digital tools
  • Ability to rigorously manage several requests at the same time
