Position: Manager of Financial Reporting - (Contract Role) Reports to: Controller, Bakery Division
The Manager of Financial Reporting will have complete responsibility for all aspects of financial reporting of the Vibrant Health Products Inc and Carbonaut Baking Inc business segments, as well as a leadership role in the audit and budgeting processes.

Knowledge & skills
- You have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including lookups and pivot tables, with an interest in data visualization
- You have a strong understanding of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE)
- You can identify, analyze, and interpret key financial drivers in a food manufacturing context
- You possess advanced financial modeling skills, capable of preparing integrated three-statement financials, budgets, and forecasts independently
Experience
- You have experience with full-cycle accounting, month-end closing, and preparing robust financial statements
- You hold a Canadian CPA designation (or equivalent) with at least 4 years of post-qualification experience at the assistant manager level
- You have experience leading a team
- You are familiar with Microsoft Great Plains or similar ERP systems
- You have a Degree in Business or a related discipline
Key Responsibilities
Weekly:
- Oversee cash flow forecast preparations
- Create and review dashboard reports and KPIs for business segments
Monthly:
- Prepare and present financial statements for multiple entities
- Reconcile accounts and perform variance and trend analyses
- Coordinate physical inventory counts and analyze inventory discrepancies
Quarterly:
- Lead quarterly bank reporting and covenant calculations
Annually:
- Lead budget and forecast processes
- Assist with external audits and tax preparations
As needed:
- Support projects related to production planning and cost analysis
- Maintain ERP system data and mentor team members
Other:
- Work outside regular hours as required
Salary: $95,000 - $130,000
