Job summary

BDO Canada's Toronto Bay Street office is seeking an Intermediate Associate to join the Financial Reporting & Insights team. You will handle compilation engagements, prepare financial statements, and assist with corporate, personal, trust, and partnership tax returns, while building strong client relationships.

• 2+ years of related experience in the public accounting industry.
• Enjoy working across diverse industries and develop broader knowledge.

• Able to manage multiple engagements and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare compilation engagements, year-end working papers, financial statements, and supporting documentation for clients.
• Prepare and review corporate (T2), personal (T1), trust (T3), and partnership tax returns.
• Prepare information returns and slips (T4, T4A, T5) and related CRA filings.
• Build positive client relationships, communicate information, discuss accounting matters, and respond to inquiries.
• Identify and resolve accounting and bookkeeping issues while supporting managers and partners.
• Communicate progress and issues with team members on an ongoing basis.
• Participate in business development initiatives with existing clients.
• Invest in the professional development of the team by training and mentoring junior members.
