Job summary

BDO Canada LLP is seeking a Manager to join our Financial Reporting & Insights team in Calgary. You will lead financial reporting, review engagements, and compilations for privately held clients, while guiding staff and ensuring timely delivery and high-quality work.

You will leverage Caseware, Sage, QuickBooks, and Excel to optimize processes and enhance client service, while maintaining strong relationships and adhering to BDO’s values of integrity, respect, and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a Manager role within public accounting.
• Experience with compilations and tax compliance for private enterprises is preferred.
• Strong proficiency with Caseware, Sage, QuickBooks, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee financial reporting, review engagements, and compilation engagements with timely, high-quality deliverables.
• Review and prepare working papers and financial statements; provide hands-on support as needed.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to team members and manage project timelines, budgets, and staff assignments.
