Qualifications

As part of the Finance team, you will join the Financial Reporting team and act as a key player in the quarterly and annual financial reporting process. You will work on technical accounting analyses, as well as participate in various ad hoc projects throughout the organization.

What you’ll be responsible for

  1. You will assist in the preparation of quarterly/annual financial reports (Financial Statements, MD&A, Earnings Release, Conference Calls, Investor Deck) and ensure consistency across these reports.
  2. Preparation of analyses supporting the financial statements.
  3. Producing accounting analyses in line with IFRS, including IFRS 15 & 16, business acquisitions, share-based payments, financing transactions, and other topics.
  4. Participating in the internal and external audit processes.
  5. Improving the implementation of Workiva and Leasequery platforms and acting as a champion for both.
  6. Participating in special projects such as internal controls, acquisitions, process improvements, and providing technical accounting training.

What you need to bring

We're looking for a candidate with experience in:

  • CPA or in the process of obtaining a CPA designation.
  • 3+ years of experience as an auditor, accountant, or finance professional.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS technical accounting applications.
  • Robust financial reporting knowledge.
  • A passion for technical accounting and a desire to improve knowledge.
  • Attention to detail in complex situations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
