Position Summary

As a Financial Reporting Analyst in our Finance group, you will be responsible for preparing and analyzing monthly consolidated financial statements and delivering comprehensive reporting that includes consolidating multiple legal entities within the organization in various currencies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly consolidated financial statements and related schedules, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial data.
• Consolidate financial data from multiple legal entities, including intercompany eliminations and adjustments.
• Review and reconcile intercompany transactions, including booking required journal entries to balance.
• Collaborate with Finance teams across entities to collect, validate, and verify financial information.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance, trends, risks, and opportunities to management.
• Support the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
• Perform various other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications: Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

Certifications

• CPA designation is an asset.

Knowledge

• Understanding of financial reporting frameworks (GAAP).
• Knowledge of consolidation principles and standards.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, data modeling, etc.).
• Knowledge of accounting software/ERP systems (Dynamics 365 Finance is an asset).
• Familiarity with reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau are assets).

Experience

• At least 5 years of accounting experience focusing on consolidation and financial reporting.
