Job summary

RBC is seeking a Financial Planning Analyst to lead tax, retirement, and estate planning efforts for a high net-worth client base within our Family Office Service. You will develop and refine the Compass financial plans as primary planner in our centralized service and in partnership with Financial Planning Specialists.

The role emphasizes advanced planning, strong collaboration, and ongoing coaching to other professionals. Excellent knowledge of Canadian income tax and finance tools is required.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field, preferably Finance or Wealth Management.
  • Financial Planner diploma granted by the IQPF.
  • 5 years of experience in financial planning, preferably in Wealth Management.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial planning and Canadian Income Tax (personal and corporate).
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
  • Bilingualism (English and French) required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare comprehensive personal financial plans for high net-worth clients.
  • Recommend advice and opportunities to enhance client’s financial situation.
  • Maintain collaboration with partners.
  • Stay current with financial planning standards and practices.
  • Contribute ideas and participate in development projects to enhance services.

This is a Retirement & Wealth Planning role where the focus is on providing tax, retirement, and estate planning strategies using our proprietary personal financial planning set of tools.
What will you do?
  • Prepare comprehensive personal financial plans for high net-wroth clients
  • Recommend advice and opportunities to enhance client’s financial situation
  • Maintain a high level of collaboration and knowledge with partners
  • Stay current with financial planning standards and practices
  • Contribute ideas and participate in development projects to enhance our services
  • Provide ongoing coaching and training to other professionals in Family Office Services
What do you need to succeed?
Must haves
  • Undergraduate diploma in a related field, preferably Finance or Wealth Management
  • Financial Planner diploma granted by the IQPF
  • 5 years of experience in financial planning, preferably in Wealth Management
  • Advanced knowledge of financial planning and Canadian Income Tax (personal and corporate)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment
  • Bilingualism (English and French) required
Nice-to-have:
  • Knowledge of Conquest financial planning application
  • Accounting designation
  • Natural curiosity towards learning and broadening the personal knowledge base
