Financial Planning & Analysis Accountant (Permanent)

Location: Ottawa, ON, CA, K1P 5E7

Onsite or Hybrid:

Expected Salary: $65,514 to $98,271

Responsibilities:

  • Support budget and forecasting activities, including:
    • Maintain and update the annual 5-year budget process
    • Build and maintain the 12 month rolling forecast
    • Update and maintain weekly short term cash forecasts
    • Working with Project Managers (PMs), Cost Control and Head of Departments (HODs) to identify budget needs
    • Reflect Group requested changes to budgets as needed
  • Maintain Financial Planning and Reporting (FP&A) system (Vena) for all business units and departments
  • Assist with reporting activities, including:
    • Budget to rolling forecast movements / variance analysis
    • Provide inputs into line of business reviews
  • Other tasks as needed

The ideal candidate brings:

  • You hold a post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA designation an asset.
  • You have a minimum of 5 years experience in a financial role.
  • You have intermediate to advanced Excel skills, good knowledge of MS Office, ERP systems.
  • You are able to plan, prioritise and deliver to firm deadlines.
  • You demonstrate excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and an ability to produce quality results in a timely manner.
  • You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance.
