Job summary

RBC is seeking a Financial Planning Analyst to deliver Compass-based comprehensive financial plans for high-net-worth clients from its Vancouver operation. The role functions as the lead planner within the Family Office Service and partners with Financial Planning Specialists to ensure tailored, strategic guidance.

You will stay abreast of planning standards, coach colleagues, and contribute to service development projects while integrating Canadian tax knowledge and investment considerations

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate diploma in a related field, preferably Finance or Wealth Management.
  • CFP or F. PI. designation.
  • 5 years of experience in financial planning, preferably in Wealth Management.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial planning and Canadian Income Tax (personal and corporate).
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment.

What is the opportunity?

As an integral part of the Family Office Service (FOS) team, the Financial Planning Analyst provides comprehensive financial planning solutions. This involves acting as the primary financial planner in our centralized service as well as in a partnership role with the Financial Planning Specialists. Both services require the preparation and ongoing development of our “Compass” comprehensive financial plans.

What will you do?
  • Prepare comprehensive personal financial plans for high net-worth clients
  • Recommend advice and opportunities to enhance client’s financial situation
  • Maintain a high level of collaboration and knowledge with partners
  • Stay current with financial planning standards and practices
  • Contribute ideas and participate in development projects to enhance our services
  • Provide ongoing coaching and training to other professionals in Family Office Services
Must haves:
  • Undergraduate diploma in a related field, preferably Finance or Wealth Management
