Job summary

The FP&A analyst at Agnico Eagle Mines Limited will support financial planning, forecasting and reporting processes. Reporting to the Manager, FP&A, you will assist in consolidated forecasts, budgets and internal reporting, while providing financial analysis to senior leadership.

Ideal candidates have strong analytical and modeling skills and can collaborate across financial and operational teams. Schedule: 40 hours/week at our Toronto corporate office; occasional site visits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • CPA or equivalent (CPA/CFA/MBA) preferred.
  • 1–3 years of related work experience.
  • Mining or natural resources industry desirable.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare corporate forecasts, monthly reporting and earnings projections across sites and regions.
  • Assist in development of Forecast and Budget presentations for senior management and Board.
  • Maintain and enhance financial models; ensure data integrity across systems.
  • Input and review forecast and budget data in the company’s financial systems.
  • Act as finance business partner to Site Finance teams for alignment with policies.
  • Support monthly internal reporting and ensure timely financial information flow.
  • Manage the corporate G&A reporting tool and monthly internal reporting.
  • Participate in planning-system, technology and automation initiatives; ad hoc analysis.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

The FP&A analyst will play a key role in supporting the Company’s financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes. Reporting to the Manager, FP&A, the successful candidate will assist in the preparation of consolidated, forecasts, budgets and internal reporting, while providing financial analysis to support senior leadership. This position requires strong analytical capabilities, financial modeling experience and ability to collaborate across financial and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare corporate forecasts, monthly reporting and earnings projections, including consolidation across sites and regions.
  • Assist in the development of Forecast and Budget presentations to senior management and the Board of Directors, providing insightful analysis on financial and operational performance.
  • Maintain and enhance financial models; ensure data integrity across planning and consolidation systems.
  • Input and review forecast and budget data into the company’s financial systems.
  • Act as finance business partner to Site Finance teams, reviewing and challenging submissions for alignment with corporate assumptions and policies.
  • Support the preparation of monthly internal reporting, acting as a key liaison and ensuring accurate and timely financial information flow.
  • Manage the corporate G&A reporting tool and monthly internal reporting to improve transparency, accountability and timeliness.
  • Participate in new planning-system, technology and automation initiatives, and support ad hoc analysis and special projects.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Currently pursuing or having completed a professional accounting designation (CPA) or equivalent (e.g. CFA or MBA).
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of related work experience.
  • Experience in the mining or natural resources industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated analytical rigor and ownership of deliverables.
  • Self-motivated, with ability to take ownership.
  • Ability to work well under pressure with competing priorities.
  • Strong foundation in financial reporting and management accounting concepts.
  • Experience with Hyperion or similar systems (e.g. Anaplan, One Stream) a strong asset.
  • Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from our Corporate office in Toronto.
    • Occasional visits to site may also be required.

In accordance with applicable legislation, the expected compensation includes base salary and potential bonus opportunity. Your individual pay will reflect your skills and experience while remaining competitive within the local market.
