Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our Finance team. The Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst will be involved in the processes for budgeting, financial forecasting, business unit analytics and variance analysis. This position will report to the Senior Financial Analyst and work closely with the Finance teams and business leaders across the North Region, assist in the analytics process, and help inform and influence critical strategic financial decisions. Our ideal candidate is a hands-on self-starter with strong Excel, financial modeling, analytics and communication skills.

Job Location

This is a full-time position and is on site at our Oakville office with occasional travel to our other North Region offices.

Job Responsibilities

1. Help prepare the company financial models (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) including weekly Flash, Latest Estimates and Annual Budgets.
2. Create, manage and automate actual vs forecast, budget and prior year reports to be reviewed monthly/quarterly with P&L owners.
3. Prepare, analyze and report key financial and operating metrics. Identify trends, track progress and make recommendations.
4. Help oversee linkages between financial systems of record to budgeting software and broader business intelligence resources.
5. Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis to support senior management.
6. Monitor the company orders, sales, profit, and cash against the targets.
7. Take on accounting tasks when required including monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation analysis.
8. Assist Operating Company Controller’s in preparation of monthly reporting package.
9. Create and maintain Tableau reports.
10. A proven track record in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
11. The ability to business partner and communicate with non-finance stakeholders effectively and articulately.
12. Strong business acumen and analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to gather, analyze and present data.
13. Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and follow-up skills.

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or related field.
2. 2+ years of FP&A experience in a corporate environment and/or relevant experience in consulting.
3. MBA / CPA is a plus or working towards either.
4. Advanced Excel skills are required.
5. Strong financial modeling experience.
6. Experience with Tableau or other BI Tools is a plus.
7. Highly personable, effective communicator who can craft positive, trust-based relationships across the company.
8. Travel up to 25%
