We have renamed our team to Financial Planners, formerly known as ‘Investment Specialist’ under the Mobile Advice Team. Join us to develop and deepen client relationships by providing high-quality advice and service within the mass affluent market. As an entrepreneurial professional, you understand that growing a practice involves building long-term relationships, leveraging external networks, and building a portfolio of satisfied clients. Your clients are your greatest asset, and your priority is to help them meet their unique financial goals.

Following a comprehensive financial planning framework, your responsibilities include driving investment sales, acquiring new clients, and adhering to global sales principles, compliance, and regulatory requirements. You will also identify business development opportunities within your assigned market area.

In this role, you will:

  • Business Development: Execute plans to prospect and serve existing clients, identify investment opportunities, and facilitate solutions or referrals.
  • Client-Centric: Provide tailored investment solutions, conduct outreach, and perform needs analyses across financial statements to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Community Involvement: Engage in local professional and community events, deliver seminars, and build your market profile through networking and marketing activities.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in financial planning and investment sales.
  • Current MFDA certification and licensing (Investments Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course).
  • Personal Financial Planning (PFP) and/or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.
  • Strong networking, client acquisition, and interpersonal skills, with experience building Centres of Influence (COIs).
  • Goal-oriented, entrepreneurial, and capable of working independently and within a team.
  • Extensive knowledge of market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for client meetings within the district.
