The David A. Dunlap Department of Astronomy & Astrophysics is actively engaged in a wide range of observational and theoretical research and offers Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees, as well as a wide range of graduate and undergraduate courses. Together with our sibling units, the Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics (CITA) and the Dunlap Institute for Astronomy & Astrophysics, there are close to 100 faculty members, post-doctoral fellows and graduate students here that make up a lively and diverse atmosphere in research, teaching and outreach. Our graduate students come to Toronto from around the world with a wide range of academic backgrounds.
Under the supervision of the Department’s manager, you will be responsible for the finance, payroll, and procurement functions of the Department. This role is crucial to the daily operations of the unit. You should be proficient with FIS, HRIS and Usource.. You must have demonstrable experience in reconciling the University of Toronto’s month-end financial statements. Additionally, you should be able to work independently and reliably, with strong skills in MS Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Excel. You will be expected to apply the University of Toronto’s finance, payroll, and administrative policies. Your experience in these areas makes you a valuable assetto the department.
