Role Description

The Financial Manager/Controller is a full-time, on-site position located in Regina, SK, responsible for overseeing the clinic’s financial operations and ensuring sound fiscal management. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing budgeting and forecasting processes, monitoring cash flow, preparing financial statements, and maintaining accurate general ledger records. The role involves overseeing accounts payable and receivable, coordinating payroll, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and nonprofit reporting requirements. This position also prepares reports for leadership and the board, supports annual audits, and provides financial analysis to guide strategic and operational decision-making. The Financial Manager/Controller collaborates closely with Management, administrative and clinical teams to align financial practices with the clinic’s mission and long-term sustainability.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial management and accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting in a nonprofit or healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and compliance requirements, including experience with audits and regulatory filings.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel) for data analysis and report preparation.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams and leadership.
  • Relevant post‑secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related field; professional designation (e.g., CPA) or progress toward one is an asset.
  • Experience in nonprofit, community health, or public sector environments is considered an advantage, along with a commitment to the clinic’s mission and values.
