Job summary

A leading financial institution is seeking a Financial Crimes Intelligence Analyst on a 15-month contract. This role focuses on analyzing financial crime trends and developing strategies to combat these issues within the banking sector. Ideal candidates will have significant experience in criminal intelligence and the ability to produce detailed analytical reports.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of practical experience in criminal intelligence.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian Government and RCMP Level 2 Security Clearance.
  • Experience presenting to professional organizations and committees.

Responsibilities

  • Provide intelligence analysis on financial crime trends affecting banking.
  • Produce intelligence products and analytical reports.

Financial Crimes Intelligence Analyst - 15-month contract

The Intelligence Analyst provides strategic, operational, and tactical intelligence analysis and support regarding the impact of international and domestic trends on financial crime and physical security affecting the banking industry. Additionally, the analyst produces intelligence products to assist in developing intelligence-led approaches to combat organized crime, physical attacks, and terrorism. This role primarily focuses on financial institution robberies and ATM attacks.

Key Qualifications, Abilities, and Skills:

  • Legally able to work in Canada – must obtain and maintain a Canadian Government and RCMP Level 2 Security Clearance
  • At least 3 years of practical experience in criminal intelligence
  • Level 1 I2 certification
  • Knowledge of facial recognition software and its application is an asset
  • Experience producing analytical reports and intelligence briefing materials
  • Experience presenting to professional organizations and committees
  • Knowledge of Federal Privacy Law is an asset
  • Law enforcement or financial industry crime analysis experience is an asset
