You’ll be the go-to finance lead, working directly with the owner and heading up a small but mighty team of two. Your main mission? Keep the numbers tight, the financials on point, and help the business stay on track. You'll collaborate closely with operations to break down project margins and spot opportunities to boost profitability. If you're someone who likes rolling up your sleeves, streamlining systems, and making things run smoother, this is your chance to shine and make a real impact.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10+ years industry accounting experience
• Canadian CPA qualification or equivalent is a must
• Construction industry experience required
• Hands-on experience with full-cycle accounting, month-end closing, project accounting & costing, financial reporting, AP, AR, budget & forecast, cash flow management, tax compliance
• System implementation experience is a nice to have
• Proficient with MS Excel skills and experienced with ERP systems – exposure to Construction software – Jonas would be a plus
• Comfortable leading and mentoring a small team
• Independent, strong problem-solving skills and able to work with minimum guidance/supervision
• Eager to learn and possesses a strong business acumen
