As we continue to grow, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Financial Controller to join our team.

Role Overview

The Financial Controller is a finance management role responsible for overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, controls, and business partnering across BrainRidge Consulting's Canadian, U.S. and Indian entities. This role ensures the integrity of financial results, strengthens internal controls, and delivers actionable insights that drive operational and commercial decision-making.

Key Accountabilities
  • Lead and execute the month-end close process in line with corporate timelines.
  • Manage the consolidation of financial data to ensure accurate multi-entity reporting.
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including KPI and variance analysis.
  • Analyze capital expenditures, revenue, and expenses for completeness and accuracy.
  • Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled and reviewed in accordance with corporate policies.
  • Support interim and year-end audit processes.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and oversee Canadian and U.S tax compliance, in partnership with tax consultants and the accounting firm.
  • Partner with business leaders to support decision-making.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and trend analysis.
  • Analyze Actual vs. Forecast vs. Budget and support forecasting.
  • Provide financial evaluation of cost, pricing, and capital decisions.
  • Review Accounts Payable and weekly payments.
  • Ensure strong cash controls and governance.
  • Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts.
  • Lead and develop the accounting team.
  • Conduct goal setting, performance reviews, and 1:1 meetings.
  • Support succession planning and collaboration with shared services.
  • Strengthen accounting processes and control frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements.
