An established industry player is seeking a Financial Controller to oversee and manage accounting records and financial reporting across its global subsidiaries. In this pivotal role, you will supervise accounting functions, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and lead the preparation of financial statements. JOB SUMMARY:
Financial Controller will be responsible for maintaining, managing, and analyzing accounting records and financial reporting of Sunrise Food International Inc. including its subsidiaries in US, EU and Turkey (“Group”) and other functions ancillary to financial control.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Supervise accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivables, cash management and associated General Ledger functions to ensure accounting records are accurately and timely maintained.
● Responsible for consolidation and preparation of the Group financial statements including foreign subsidiaries in US, EU and Turkey.
● Take responsibility for quarterly group reporting, half yearly limited scope audit reviews and annual reporting of the Group.
● Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all functions, adhering to applicable financial and statutory requirements.
● Working with the accounting, finance and IT team to refine / customize the ERP (Microsoft D365).
● In time, work with the CFO to develop and implement SOX framework for ICFR.
● Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows.
● On the job training and development of some of the junior members of the accounting team.
● Oversee and support the accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity.
● Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
● Experienced in accounting and financial reporting functions, working with one of the big three ERP solutions (Oracle, ERP and SAP).
● Exceptional attention to detail.
● Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage shifting priorities.
● Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and independently foster
relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
● Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.
● Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite, specifically Excel.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
● Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business, accounting, or related field.
● At least 10 years of professional accounting experience. Experience with Big4 accounting firms is highly preferred.
● Preferred professional certification, such as CPA (certified public accountant) or equivalent qualification.
