Job description

We are looking for a self-motivated accounting and finance professional to take charge of the financials of our operating companies.

You understand and appreciate how large-scale integrated ERP computer systems work to bring together financial results.

You help ensure that the companies are following the necessary government reporting obligations.

You are going to be integral in ensuring that internal controls are working as well as implementing processes as required.

  • Providing leadership, direction and management of the finance and accounting team
  • Preparing financial forecasts and budgets, and overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting
  • Advising the CEO and Leadership Team on long-term business and financial planning
  • Reviewing, streamlining, and refining all formal finance procedures
  • Ensuring all regulatory requirements are met
  • Oversee the monthly, quarterly and annual financials including performance of each of operating companies and business units
  • Assist with and involved in review of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
  • Examine and analyze financial records, documents, and systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with established procedures, and internal controls
  • Assist in the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with industry best practices
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Involved in tax compliance in all companies and countries that we operate(US, Canada, India, Singapore)
  • Troubleshoot company’s ERP system to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances
  • Mentor and develop employees and providing leadership, training, and development to finance team staff

Skills & Requirements :

  • Professional accounting designation required – CPA(US or Canada)
  • Experience of US Accounting, compliance and tax standards
  • 7+ years of financial accounting, reporting and management experience
  • Strong understanding of global payroll systems, tax regulations, and legal compliance.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (US GAAP)
  • Very good grasp of data analysis
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and accounting software
  • Working knowledge of tax an asset
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Self-starter who is eager to learn and doesn’t wait to be assigned tasks / projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective verbal and listening skills
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Computer skills (especially excel) to use the power of tech to automate mundane tasks

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics BC, Excel, and financial management tools.

Experience (or learning ability)leveraging AI-powered automation to streamline financial processes.
