  • Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, sales and gross margin reports, and budget-to-actual and prior-period analysis.
  • Support annual budgets and periodic forecasts for income statements, balance sheets, cash flow and capital expenditures.
  • Analyze financial and operational data to explain variances, identify cost drivers, trends, margin opportunities and inefficiencies, and recommend actions to the COO and operating leaders.
4. Manufacturing Finance & Project Evaluation
  • Maintain manufacturing cost accounting and inventory controls; analyze material, labour and overhead costs, production variances, inventory valuation and cost of sales.
  • Evaluate projects, business initiatives and capital expenditures using financial modelling, cost‑benefit and payback analysis; review costs and results against assumptions.

  • Coordinate employee benefits reviews with brokers/advisors; assess coverage, options, costs and renewal terms, and recommend changes to leadership.
6. Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement
  • Lead, coach and develop 3–4 direct reports; set responsibilities, deadlines and performance expectations, and ensure work quality and timeliness.
  • Remain hands‑on in key accounting activities while building cross‑training, backup coverage and consistent processes across sites.
  • Partner with the COO and functional leaders to resolve issues and improve financial and operational performance.
Qualifications & Experience
  • CPA designation required; 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including at least 5 years in a senior finance or controllership role.
