Description and Responsibilities

As an Analyst in Revenue Management, you will serve as the central point of contact for pricing-related requests within your sales division and be responsible for:

  • Consultation/recommendations for all pricing-related requests (e.g., new opportunities, growth, retention, RFP responses, rate changes, impact analysis, contract renewals, competitive/market insight and analysis).
  • Translating business opportunities and customer needs into collaborative pricing solutions.
  • Assessing profitability and risk on all pricing requests and making recommendations accordingly.
  • Ensuring rigor and accuracy in all pricing analyses, approval requests, and final pricing releases for implementation.
  • Working closely with other departments to manage issues and recommend resolutions (e.g., Sales, Operations, Contracts, Legal).
  • Presenting recommendations and operating within the delegation of authority and approval guideline framework.
  • Performing ad hoc analyses and operationalizing corporate pricing initiatives.
  • Contributing towards the continuous improvement of processes to help drive efficiencies.
  • Managing customer compliance.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
Experience
  • 3-5 years of business experience in a similar role.
  • Exceptionally high computer skills with experience in data manipulation and analysis using Excel and Access.
  • Experience in using Microsoft Power BI or other interactive data visualization products and SAP S/4HANA.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deliverables.
  • Ability to work effectively with high-level direction, strategies, and problem statements.
  • Ability to comfortably interact with all levels within the organization to achieve desired results.
  • Ability to prepare, present, and speak confidently to analyses and explain results in written and verbal format to the team and non-financial individuals.
  • Ability to manage a small project from beginning to end.
  • Ability to take initiative; is driven, self-motivated, logical, and adaptable to provide solution-oriented and value-added support.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Transportation Industry knowledge and experience with Pricing and/or Revenue Management would be an asset.
