Job summary

EQB Inc. is seeking a Financial Analyst Intern to support payroll, accounting, and month-end processes for PC Bank and PC Insurance. You will collaborate with Payroll, Treasury, and other finance teams to ensure accurate journal entries and reconciliations.

This hybrid position is based in Toronto with a January–April 2027 work term, offering exposure to intercompany transactions and automation initiatives within a leading Canadian FinTech bank.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Business, Accounting or Finance.
• CPA designation or in process of obtaining one (or related equivalent).
• 1–2 years of related accounting/finance experience.
• MS Excel: intermediate to advanced.
• Experience with SAP is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bi-weekly payroll journal entries for PC Insurance and PC Bank, mapping payroll to General Ledger accounts.
• Prepare bi-weekly payroll expense journal entries for PC Insurance and PC Bank.
• Perform payroll reconciliations and analyses of monthly payroll costs.
• Process payroll vendor payments in coordination with payroll, finance and treasury teams.
• Support month-end process for PC Insurance, including journal entries and variances analysis.
• Book intercompany entries for PC Bank and PC Insurance and reconcile balances.
