Primary Function

Responsible for budgeting, reporting, and analysis of the financial results of 2 business segments, SG&A budgeting and analysis, providing financial support to the A. O. Smith New Product Development process, and providing support and reporting assistance to the manufacturing locations.

Responsibilities
-Coordinate the US Selling & General Administration & Engineering expense budgeting process with department head -Vice President (80 departments, 15-20 department heads,$100M spend).
-Provide high-level walk-forwards to assist leadership in understanding the change in spending and headcount.
-Budget, report, and analyze Wholesale SBU financial results.
-Budget, report, and analyze Export SBU financial results.
-Support plants with individual budgeting and reporting (plan templates, plan pre-views etc), consolidate plant variances and develop high level comments, and provide analysis for inventory and conversion cost.
-Coordinate various performance excellence projects within the Finance area.
-Support the A. O. Smith New Product Development process by providing financial analyses (P and L impact, balance sheet impact, cash flow, PAR index, payback, other as needed) for specific projects.
-Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications
-Bachelor’s Degree in business, accounting, finance, or related discipline
-5+ years of financial experience or exposure to accounting systems


Additional Qualifications:

-Adept at report model development and being able to interpret and summarize data
-Working knowledge of financial and accounting systems – SAP BI/BPC experience a plus
-Strong attention to detail and high organization skills
-Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint
-Tableau experience a plus
-Strong communication both orally and written
-Ability to work with and maintain the integrity of confidential information
-Ability to work independently and as a team to meet strict deadlines while balancing priorities
-Good interpersonal and influencing skills
-Experience in a manufacturing company a plus

Education

Baccalaureate in Finance or Related Field
