Job summary

ABB is hiring a Financial Analyst in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu to support general accounting activities within defined policies. The role covers monthly closing, reporting, internal controls, audits, and process improvements.

A bilingual/proficient candidate with Excel and SAP skills is required, along with a bachelor’s in Finance and Accounting and at least 3 years of experience. The position is hybrid, with 2-3 days in the office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Accounting
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role
• Perfectly bilingual – French & English. English is necessary to communicate with clients outside Quebec
• Advanced experience of Excel and SAP
• Proven ability to effectively work under pressure and within tight deadlines
• Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multitask
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly tasks.
• Support external audits for year-end/quarter-end and perform monthly controls.
• Participate in system or process improvement projects.
• Assist in optimizing processes to gain efficiency.
• Conduct investigations and reconciliations of accounts.

You are responsible for managing and analyzing record to report data, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with the relevant accounting standards.This role is contributing to the Electrification, Installation Products division of ABB and is located in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.The work model is hybrid, with 2-3 days per week at the office.ResponsibilitiesMonthly closing and reporting: assist in the month end close process including preparing journal entries, ad hoc account reconciliation, and performing and updating monthly tasks. Execute accounting analyses and reports. Participate in solving IG mismatches and ensuring timely and accurate reporting package and disclosures.Internal Control and External Audit: participate in responding to external audit requests relating to year-end and quarter-end. Perform monthly controls. Ensure compliance with financial guidelines and company policies. Participate in internal control testing and preparing relevant documentation.Projects: participate in projects and process improvements initiatives either related to systems, or structure changes.Optimization: assist in developing and implementing processes and procedures to continuously optimize and gain efficiency.Investigation: conduct investigations and reconciliations of accounts as necessary.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Finance and AccountingMinimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting rolePerfectly Bilingual – French & English.
