Financial Analyst – FP&A Defense and Security

About This Role

Are you looking to dive into the fast-paced, dynamic world of forecasting? Seeking an environment in which you’ll be continually learning, taking on new challenges, and communicating with management and operational teams around the world? CAE, a world-class public company and leader in training for civil aviation, defence, and security, is seeking a talented individual to join its Defense & Security (D&S) FP&A team as a Financial Analyst.

Reporting to the D&S Manager, Global Reporting and Analysis, you will :

• Participate in consolidating the monthly forecast for the Defense and Security segment, including preparing reports and analyses for senior management.
• Assist in the annual budget process for the segment, including preparing the consolidated budget package and ad hoc analyses.
• Conduct monthly analyses of income statement variances comparing actuals to forecast, budget, and prior year.
• Work closely with senior management as a business partner, providing guidance and support to the D&S regions.
• Perform general and customized analyses to support strategic initiatives.
• Support special projects and collaborate with global teams on process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• At least five (5) years of experience in an accounting firm or similar role.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Results-oriented with strong attention to detail.
• Problem-solving skills and innovative thinking for recommendations.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication at all organizational levels.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel.
• Hyperion Financial Management and / or Hyperion Planning experience is a plus.
