Job Posting Description:

This role is Hybrid #LI-Hybrid

Secondment/Contract Duration: Up to 15 Months

Does the idea of working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment interest you? Reporting to the Senior Manager Finance, Financial Reporting & Policy, you will assist in planning and developing accounting policies and performing analytics to assess the impact on LCBO's financials. You will research the latest IFRS developments, communicate accounting changes, and make recommendations to align with new policies and processes. There will also be opportunities to work on ad hoc projects and operational activities to meet business needs and improve reporting and internal controls.

About the Role
  • Prepare reports and analyses for stakeholders including internal and external auditors for year-end audits.
  • Support financial statement reporting and analyze results for management.
  • Coordinate and support the implementation of accounting policies, especially related to IFRS.
  • Research policy developments and prepare IFRS position papers.
  • Provide technical leadership to improve processes and financial reporting controls.
  • Participate in system upgrades, testing, and system-related projects.
About You
  • Post-secondary education in finance or business, or equivalent experience.
  • CPA designation preferred.
  • Experience with IFRS/IAS and external reporting, especially in retail.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Access, Power BI, SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems.
  • Strong financial modeling skills and experience with financial reporting systems.
  • Knowledge of compliance and internal controls (ICFR).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
