Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a Financial Analyst - Financial Planning and Analysis to create accurate business reports and innovative solutions. You will prepare statements, perform period-end reporting, and support budgeting and forecasting within the Finance department.

Ideal candidates hold a Business/Accounting/Finance degree and are pursuing a CPA. You should have 2+ years of Canadian experience, strong communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Office to streamline workflows and drive

Qualifications

• Business, Accounting, or Finance Degree working towards a CPA designation.
• Full Knowledge of Financial Principles.
• 2+ years of Financial Analyst experience in Canada.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Ability to take the initiative and work independently and/or in a team environment.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new software applications.
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely financial information including proformas for rebids.
• Leverage technology to streamline current workflows.
• Improve data flows through innovative solutions.
• Assist with day-to-day operations of the Finance/Accounting department.
• Prepare financial statements and period end reporting, with variance analysis.
• Assist in preparing annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
• Partner with operations team in day-to-day activities to guide them to meet their financial targets.
• Reconcile and analyze accounts as required.
• Document items as required, such as business requirements, issues and decision logs, and stakeholder training and presentations.
• Work on ad hoc projects as required.

Job description

The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $75,000. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may be entitled to other elements of total compensation, which may include group benefits, employer RRSP contributions, & discretionary bonus or incentive programs, where applicable to the role. We are committed to offering competitive compensation & comply with all applicable pay transparency legislation.
