Job summary

CAE Inc is seeking a Financial Analyst in Montreal to manage a portfolio of projects with a focus on financial analysis, forecasting, revenue recognition, and performance reporting.

The role requires IFRS expertise, strong accounting knowledge, and experience in contract-based accounting, with fluency in English and French. The incumbent will support month-end closes, budgeting, and process improvements within CAE’s finance team.

Qualifications

• University degree in accounting or finance.
• 3 to 5 years of financial analysis and reporting experience.
• In depth knowledge of accounting principles, public company financial reporting & practices experience.
• Proven management accounting skills and experience.
• Experience in project or contract‑based accounting environments.
• Proven experience in preparing complex business models.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, Visio).
• Fluency in English and French.

Responsibilities

• Support project financial management including forecasting, revenue recognition, and performance analysis.
• Prepare and review financial information for the assigned project portfolio on a periodic basis (monthly, quarterly, annual).
• Perform scenario assessments and EAC changes to support planning and monitoring.
• Assist in reporting enhancements, data integrity, and process improvements within the accounting environment.
• Support month‑end close, forecasting activities, and audits.
• Participate in business process troubleshooting and system enhancements (Planisware, Oracle, PowerBI).
