Financial Analyst (12-Month Contract)

The Financial Analyst will deliver timely and accurate presentations of financial and operational performance to Operations and Finance Leads, and ensure all quarterly reporting requirements are met, as requested by Corporate Finance Leads and external auditors. The Financial Analyst will also facilitate the budget and forecast process to monitor and track actual performance against projections. Fostering discussions with colleagues, operational leads, administrative staff, and finance leads to recommend and implement process improvements is a key aspect of the job.

Financial Analyst (12-Month Contract)

The Financial Analyst will also facilitate the budget and forecast process to monitor and track actual performance against projections. Your role

• Prepare monthly operational financial statements, including high level review of revenue, labour, and overhead; as well as interpreting financial information for Operations to review;
• Prepare monthly financial and statistical operational efficiency and effectiveness measures
• Complete quarterly balance sheet analysis for all accounts on the Consolidated Balance Sheet along with supporting documentation and explanation of variances as required;
• Monitor and report on the collections cycle of the operations;
• Assist in the preparation of Operational Budgets/Forecasts;
• Support annual preparation of Year End Working Papers;
• Support ongoing process improvement projects as assigned.
  
  

What You Will Need To Be Successful

• Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor Business Administration/Management, or equivalent;
• Currently enrolled in the CPA (CA, CMA, CGA) program;
• 1 to 3 years of financial report analysis, account analysis and reconciliation, A/P, or A/R;
• Working knowledge of Netsuite is an asset;
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel;
• Ability to work with highly confidential information with professionalism and tact;
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
