Job Description:
We are on the hunt for a dynamic and analytical Financial Analyst to join our client’s high-performing Finance team! This is more than just crunching numbers—it's about delivering impactful insights that drive strategic decision-making. You’ll play a key role in analyzing financial data, preparing crucial reports, and ensuring deadlines are met with precision. You’ll be at the heart of financial strategy, crafting month-end statements, conducting deep-dive account analysis, and benchmarking key components to enhance reporting accuracy. Key Responsibilities:

• Mastering the numbers—Performing bank reconciliations, crafting detailed financial reports, recording journal entries, and ensuring accounts are flawlessly balanced.
• Connecting the dots—Reconciling intercompany transactions across all entities, keeping everything running like a well-oiled machine.
• Shaping the future—Preparing amortization schedules for capital assets, managing deferred contributions, and tracking unspent foundation grants with precision.
• Solving complex puzzles—Tackling ad-hoc accounting tasks and system balancing to keep financial operations seamless.
• Leading audits with confidence—Developing airtight working papers for external audits, reconciliation reports, and other critical financial documentation.
• Driving strategic decisions—Analyzing financial data to ensure compliance with regulatory standards while spotting opportunities for innovation and efficiency

Qualifications:

• University degree (Business/Finance related)
• Professional accounting designation (CA, CGA, CPA, CMA, ACCA, FCCA) or equivalent working experience (preferred)
• Required experience in accounting analysis positions: 3 - 5 years
• Knowledge of Canadian GAAP
• Strong computer skills – ERP Software, Microsoft Office (required), advanced Excel Skills
