Job summary

Mint Green Group, a North American distributor for sports and lifestyle brands, is hiring a Financial Analyst to join the Accounting & Finance team in Pointe-Claire. You will participate in month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis while supporting the CFO, Controller, and Assistant Controller.

The role requires a strong accounting foundation, advanced Excel, and exposure to ERP systems (NetSuite is a plus). A CPA is an asset, and 2–5 years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA designation (or actively pursuing CPA) is an asset.
• 2–5 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, financial analysis, or a related finance role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and financial analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite experience is an asset).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Self-motivated team player with a proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, and year-end audit processes is considered an asset.
• Foundational AI literacy, including experience using generative AI tools, and a proactive mindset to experiment with new technologies to drive productivity and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the month-end close and financial reporting process.
• Perform monthly variance analysis vs budget/forecast/prior periods.
• Prepare recurring financial and management reports for performance reviews.
• Assist CFO/Controller with ad hoc analyses and reporting.
• Support analysis of trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Assist with account analysis, reconciliations, and other month-end activities.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and maintenance of financial models and tools.
• Support year-end audit and accounting analyses.
