Job summary

Groupe Dynamite is seeking a Financial Analyst in Montréal to provide reliable financial insights, focusing on Sales and Gross Margin analysis across its retail banners and channels. The role partners with Merchandising, Planning and Operations to optimize profitability and drive strategic initiatives.

The analyst will model cost-saving opportunities, support budgeting cycles, and deliver timely variance analyses with commentary on key trends.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance.
• CPA/CFA designation a plus.
• Strong financial acumen and business fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Merchandising, Planning, Store Ops and Digital teams to build budgets and forecasts for sales and margin.
• Own weekly, monthly, and quarterly gross margin analyses including COGS, markdowns and freight impacts.
• Perform variance analysis between actuals, budgets and forecasts and explain drivers.
• Support budgeting and forecasting cycles at banner/class/category levels.
• Develop and maintain margin reporting tools and dashboards (Power BI, Vena, ERP).
• Create financial models and business cases for strategic initiatives.
