Job summary

Brookfield Asset Management Inc in Downtown Toronto is looking for an Analyst, Finance to join its Global Finance Team. The role focuses on FP&A, budgeting, forecasting and non-GAAP reporting, with exposure to detailed financial analysis and external reporting.

You will also assist with consolidated financial statements, MD&A, and coordination with auditors. There are opportunities to support investor relations, treasury and ERP initiatives within a dynamic asset-management environment.

Qualifications

• University degree in Business or Finance.
• 1–3 years in finance, public accounting, or related field.
• Advanced Excel; VBA and Macros are a strong asset.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Self-motivated and proactive with workload management.

Responsibilities

• Support FP&A forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Analyze variances vs. budget and prior periods to identify drivers.
• Assist with consolidation, MD&A, and public disclosures.
• Coordinate with operating groups and audit teams for quarterly reviews.

The Analyst will gain meaningful exposure to business performance and financial analysis and reporting.In addition to its core FP&A responsibilities, the role will also support BAM’s Financial Reporting team, including but not limited to preparation of consolidated financial statements and GAAP financial reporting processes.
